Meet Troy Sarkis

1. What’s your full name and preferred nickname?

Troy Sarkis.

2. Tell us a bit about your background. What brings you to the world of earthmoving attachments with SBA?

I’ve always been drawn to industries that are hands-on and fast-moving. I love the earthmoving industry and appreciate the opportunity for travel that comes with my role at SBA. Meeting new people and tackling different challenges every day keeps the job exciting for me.

3. What was your first job, and what did it teach you about the working world?

I started my career in plumbing, where I quickly learned that client acquisition is crucial—no matter the industry. Understanding customer needs, building trust, and providing solutions are key elements that have stuck with me throughout my career.

4. What are you most excited about in your role at SBA?

I thrive in SBA’s fast-paced environment and enjoy interacting with people. The ability to help customers find the right attachments for their needs and build lasting relationships is what excites me the most.

5. What’s your favourite SBA attachment and why?

If I had to pick a favorite attachment, I’d say “Anything.” Every attachment plays a crucial role in getting the job done efficiently and safely.

6. How do you prefer to start your workday? Coffee, tea, or exercise?

I always start my day with a good cup of coffee to fuel up for a busy day ahead.

7. What’s one skill or hobby you have that might surprise us?

I enjoy playing golf—though I’ll admit I’m not particularly great at it! Regardless of my skill level, I enjoy the game and the challenge it brings.

8. What’s your favourite way to unwind after a busy day?

After a long day, I prefer to simply relax and recharge for the next day.

9. If you could have any superpower to help you with your job, what would it be?

Without hesitation, I’d want the ability to make everyone buy—a dream superpower for any sales professionall!

10. How do you like to celebrate a job well done?

For me, the best way to celebrate success is to do another job well. My mindset of continuous improvement keeps me motivated and driven.

11. What does Dig It Pink mean to you?

To me, Dig It Pink is about more than just business—it’s about giving back. Supporting cancer awareness through the McGrath Foundation is a cause I value deeply, and I’m proud to be part of a company that prioritises making a difference.
