From Remote WA to SBA
Kate’s background is mainly in construction and mining across remote Western Australia, working in project coordination and onsite onboarding for companies including BHP and Chevron. After moving to the Central Coast to settle down with her family, she was looking for a role that would keep her connected to the industry. SBA’s Dispatch team was the perfect fit.
Where It All Started
Kate’s first job was working on a stud farm with racehorses, where she quickly learnt the importance of showing up every day, working hard and never thinking you know it all. As she puts it, horses will prove you wrong every time!
Growing With SBA
Kate is excited to see SBA continue to grow and improve, particularly as more unique, custom-built buckets are dispatched. She enjoys being part of a team that gets products out efficiently while helping strengthen SBA’s position in the market.
A Favourite in Pink
Custom quarry buckets are Kate’s favourite SBA attachment, especially when they’re painted pink. Tough, specialised and unique, no two builds feel quite the same.

Outside of work, Kate enjoys playing poker. She loves the strategy behind the game and the challenge of reading body language and spotting what people reveal without realising it.

Kate would choose time travel, so she could get a head start on those last-minute “urgent” freight requests before they even land on her desk.

For Kate, the best part is seeing everything come together in dispatch and knowing the job has been handled well, the customer is looked after, and the team has delivered another top tier attachment out into the field.
Dig It Pink, Close to Home
Dig It Pink holds a particularly personal meaning for Kate after losing her mum to cancer. SBA’s support for the McGrath Foundation is more than just a cause to her. Pink is a reminder of her mum’s strength, and knowing SBA’s work helps families going through similar experiences makes her proud to be part of the team.
